National Trends and Services
Overview
The vision of the National Trends and Services facet, established in 1964, is to eliminate disparities by reducing barriers to services through advocacy, education, and service. Our mission is to empower our chapters to effectively empower the communities in which we work.
Our goals include increasing the number of sustainable and measurable programs; increasing collaborative partnerships; and extending our existing initiatives to include communities identified as having the greatest need.
Programs
Healthy Homestead
Through this initiative we incorporate community education and fundamental process to prevent the loss of heir property. Black women represent the largest demographic affected by this loss of generational wealth.
Voter Education and Registration
Voter Education is more important than ever before and The Orlando (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated is leading the way in making certain that every voter makes an effort to educate themselves on politics, the voting process, the candidates and the issues surrounding the election so that members of Central Florida and beyond are well informed.
